Clemson saw their streak of consecutive ACC titles end in 2021 with six straight. They returned to their throne last season after knocking off North Carolina in the title game. As they look at the 2023 season, it is shaping up to be one that could end with their eighth in nine seasons.
The offense is getting an upgrade with Garrett Riley taking over for the departing Brandon Streeter and they now turn to former five-star signee Cade Klubnik at quarterback. Fortunately for Dabo Swinney and the Tigers, they have the toughest games of the year (Notre Dame, Florida State, and North Carolina) in Death Valley.
With a very weak start to the nonconference slate, Clemson should get off to a fast start in the 2023 campaign. Clemson has missed out on the last two playoffs after appearing in four of five playoffs from 2015 to 2019 and winning the title twice.
