Since October 1st, most teams have only re-signed players who were already a part of their respective organizations. The New Jersey Generals were the first to make an official move, signing three free agents last night.
Now, Cam Echols-Luper is once again breaking the mold – jumping from the New Jersey Generals over to the New Orleans Breakers.
USFL Career
Cameron Echols-Luper has spent the last two years in the USFL with the Generals. He saw limited playing time during the 2022 season, finishing with 38 receiving yards and a rushing touchdown as New Jersey dominated their way to a 9-1 record, winning the North Division.
Incredible offense + incredible celebration. 🎳
Just normal Generals stuff.

In 2023, it was a different story for Cam. With the losses of playmakers such as Darrius Shepherd (XFL) and league MVP KaVontae Turpin (NFL), Echols-Luper saw a much more prevalent role within the offense this year.
Despite dealing with a quarterback carousel, Cameron was quite consistent for the Generals during the 2023 USFL season. He posted 294 receiving yards, and two touchdowns during the year for an offense that struggled to find a consistent rhythm.
Wow. De’Andre Johnson just made one heck of a throw under pressure to Cam Echols-Luper, who takes it to the house, tying things up in Canton. What a play.
This @DredaDon14 x @Cam2xs duo is lethal for the @USFLGenerals.
