The New Orleans Breakers continue to chip away in USFL free agency. Just yesterday, the team signed two free agents: TE Marcus Baugh, and WR Jimmie Robinson Jr.
Free Agent Signings:
• TE Marcus Baugh, Ohio State
• WR Jimmie Robinson Jr., Bethune-Cookman— New Orleans Breakers (@USFLBreakers) October 17, 2023
TE Marcus Baugh
Marcus Baugh is a tremendous pickup for the Breakers offensive unit. Baugh has been with the Michigan Panthers throughout the last two seasons, but now makes the move in USFL free agency to New Orleans.
Through 2022 and 2023, Marcus Baugh has been one of the most underrated tight ends in the league. He’s posted 300 receiving yards and three touchdowns in his USFL career, and started in all ten games for Michigan in 2023.

In free agency, Baugh decided not to re-sign with Michigan, even though they originally planned to bring him back. Marcus already had a relationship with John DeFilippo and the Breakers, as the organization is very high on his skill sets.
Now, he is set to join New Orleans for the 2024 USFL season. With both Sage Surratt and Marcus Baugh in the Breakers’ tight end room, things are looking pretty good for that core heading into next season.
WR Jimmie Robinson Jr.
Jimmie Robinson finally gets his opportunity to shine in professional spring football. He was a standout playmaker at Bethune-Cookman, earning two-time FCS All-American and All Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference selection honors during his time there.
During his senior collegiate season, Jimmie was outstanding. He registered 39 receptions for 468 yards and four touchdowns, while also returning 33 kicks for 880 yards and a touchdown.
Jimmie Robinson is a versatile athlete. He has plenty of experience as a wide receiver, running back, and kick…
