Dolphins rule out RG Robert Hunt for matchup with Raiders

The Miami Dolphins are already down starting left guard Isaiah Wynn for their Week 11 battle with the Las Vegas Raiders, but they’ll be missing even more than that.

On Friday, Dolphins head coach Mike McDaniel revealed that the team will be without right guard Robert Hunt this week, as he’s dealing with a hamstring injury that also held him out of the team’s matchup with the Kansas City Chiefs prior to the bye.

In his place, it appears that Miami is preparing to start Liam Eichenberg, which would make it the fifth position on the offensive line that he’s started a game. With Robert Jones’ status also up in the air, Lester Cotton will likely start at left guard.

This isn’t great new, but McDaniel, offensive coordinator Frank Smith and offensive line coach Butch Barry have done a tremendous job of working through the injuries to the big men up front this season.

Hopefully, the backups can protect Tua Tagovailoa and provide some open lanes for the stable of backs.
