Earlier this week, Iowa State offensive lineman Jarrod Hufford made some bold claims stating that Texas “doesn’t know what’s coming for them” and “has a high ego.”
The defense silenced him from the very first play.

The thing about talking smack at the beginning of the week is that you have to back it up, but Hufford and Iowa State couldn’t.
T’Vondre Sweat and Texas’ defense allowed nine rushing yards all night, putting Iowa State’s bold claims to rest. Sweat was the best defensive player all night, and his crucial blocked extra point put the Longhorns up even more.
