Stop what you’re doing, we have some breaking news: the Tennessee Titans (3-7) are opening the week as significant betting favorites in their Week 12 contest versus the Carolina Panthers (1-9).
According to BetMGM, the Titans are listed as 3.5-point favorites over the Panthers, with the over/under initially set at 37 points. This is the first time the Titans are favored in awhile, and it only took a matchup against a team with the worst record in the NFL to get there.

This is set to be the Titans’ first home game in what feels like forever after the team had a three-game road trip.
Tennessee has played seven games away from Nissan Stadium (0-7), as compared to the three that it’s played at home (3-0). Even if the Titans weren’t horrendous on the road, that’s a ridiculous schedule quirk that no team deserves.
Both teams are essentially playing for pride at this point, but losing would benefit the Titans, as it would help them secure a better draft pick. The Panthers, on the other hand, don’t own their first-round pick in 2024.
Regardless of draft positioning, both head coaches desperately need a win in this game, with many speculating that the jobs of Frank Reich and Mike Vrabel may not be secure.
When it comes to covering the spread, the Titans have only done so 40 percent of the time (4-6), per Team Rankings, while the Panthers have covered in just 12.5 percent (1-7-2) of their games.
