Chargers place Joey Bosa on IR, sign Andrew Farmer to active roster

The Chargers placed edge defender Joey Bosa on injured reserve. In correspondence, they signed EDGE Andrew Farmer to the active roster.

Additionally, Los Angeles signed fullback Zander Horvath to the practice squad.

Bosa sustained a foot injury in the Week 11 game against the Packers. He was carted to the locker room and never returned.

Bosa is eligible to return in four weeks, but given how close the season is to ending in that timeframe, it remains to be seen if he will return unless Los Angeles makes a playoff push.

Bosa has 20 tackles, 6.5 sacks, eight quarterback hits, six tackles for loss and one forced fumble in nine games this season.

Farmer, an undrafted free agent out of Lane College, posted 114 total tackles 44 tackles for losses, and 17.5 sacks in two seasons and an astonishing 25 tackles for losses in 2022.
