Who doesn’t want to watch a top-five matchup in the NFL? Well, a top-five matchup when it comes to the draft order, that is. 15 years ago, this would have been a marquee matchup, but now it’s reduced to which struggling team can dig their way out of the cellar first. The Patriots (2-8) are coming off a bye week, and they still have uncertainty at the quarterback position. The Giants (3-8), meanwhile, got their first win in weeks after defeating the Washington Commanders.

This isn’t going to be a pretty game at all. But for Bears fans, it will help clear up the bottom of the standings as it relates to draft position. Currently, New England holds the third pick, while the Giants are fifth. A Patriots win would put them in a tie with the Giants, Tennessee Titans, and Bears with three wins. It would also reduce the threat of them getting the No. 1 overall pick, which the Bears currently hold. It’s a tank bowl in the truest sense, and it will be on the minds of Bears fans everywhere.
