The Seattle Seahawks’ offensive line has taken a beating this season. After losing both tackles – Abe Lucas and Charles Cross – in the Week 1 opener, this unit has not been operating at full strength. Sure, they played admirably for a few weeks, but over the last month the line has slowly degraded.
While Charles Cross has returned the lineup, the absence of right tackle Abe Lucas has continued to be felt. Lucas returned to practice last week, but was inactive against both the Los Angeles Rams and the San Francisco 49ers.
However, good news appears to perhaps be on the horizon. Head coach Pete Carroll gave some potentially optimistic news regarding the former Washington State Cougar.
Pete Carroll said Abe Lucas is “going to practice to play” this week and will get reps with the No. 1 offense.

If this is the case, it will be a huge improvement for the Seahawks’ offensive line. They have no simple task, either. They will have to face the Dallas Cowboys on Thursday Night Football, and their defensive star Micah Parsons. On the year, Parsons has recorded 11.5 sacks thus far.
This will be one of the key stories to follow for the Seahawks this week.
