Cade Uluave (Defensive), Jaydn Ott (Special Teams) and David Reese (Defensive Line) have been named Week 13 Pac-12 Players of the Week for their performances at UCLA last Saturday.

BERKELEY – A trio of players from the California football team – Jaydn Ott (Special Teams), David Reese (Defensive Line) and Cade Uluave (Defensive) – earned Pac-12 Player of the Week honors Monday when the conference announced its Week 13 performance awards, presented by Nextiva.
Cal has captured eight of the 18 possible weekly honors bestowed by the conference over the past three weeks with Uluave, a candidate for the league’s Defensive Freshman of the Year award, winning three of those. Ott, an All-American candidate and the Pac-12’s regular-season rushing champion, was honored for the first time this season and the fourth time in his career, while Reese was selected for the first time.
Cal captured 10 Pac-12 Player of the Week selections during the 2023 regular season with the first seven by Brian Driscoll (Offensive Line – Week 1 vs. North Texas, Week 11 vs. Washington State), Fernando Mendoza (Freshman – Week 12 at Stanford), Barrett Miller (Offensive Line – Week 12 at Stanford), Uluave (Defensive and Newcomer – Week 11 vs. Washington State) and Lachlan Wilson (Special Teams – Week 5 vs. Arizona State).
Cal (6-6, 4-5 Pac-12) won its final three games to become bowl-eligible for the first time since 2019 and will learn which bowl it will be selected for Sunday.

Jaydn Ott, RB, 6-0, 200, So., 2nd Season At Cal (Chino, CA/Norco HS/Bishop Gorman HS)
– Returned a kickoff 100 yards for a touchdown on his first career kickoff return during Cal’s 33-7 victory at UCLA after the Bruins had briefly taken a 7-6 lead in the second quarter. He added 80 yards rushing – the third-most allowed to an individual by the nation’s top-ranked rushing defense while totaling a game-high 181 all-purpose yards.
