WR Joshua Palmer designated to return from IR

The Chargers have designated wide receiver Joshua Palmer to return from injured reserve, the team announced Wednesday.

Palmer was back at practice today, but head coach Brandon Staley said there’s no timeline for his return.

Palmer was placed on the injured reserve on Nov. 5 with a knee injury. He has missed the last five games.

With Palmer’s 21-day window open, he must either be activated to the 53-man roster or placed on season-ending injured reserve by the end of the three-week period.

In seven games this season, Palmer has caught 23 passes on 39 targets for 377 yards (16.4 yards per reception) and a touchdown, including five catches for 133 yards against the Chiefs in Week 7.
