If Dillon Gabriel is likely headed for the Oregon Ducks in the transfer portal, that would change what other programs are able to do in the portal. Cam Ward was previously viewed as an Oregon target, but when Gabriel entered the portal, Oregon’s outlook changed. One has to wonder if USC’s outlook has changed as well.
Lincoln Riley has paid a visit to Kansas State transfer Will Howard. It is reasonable to think that Howard is USC’s top transfer portal quarterback target, though that isn’t a confirmed fact. If, however, Howard isn’t the top quarterback target for Riley and USC, Cam Ward could be the other prominent name under consideration.
There is certainly a lot to think about, and people are discussing Cam Ward as a possible USC quarterback:
ONE VIEW
Please. I don’t ask for much as a USC fan except an elite defense and Cam Ward. Make it happen Lincoln Riley. https://t.co/ltdTOrD9mh

HOW MUCH IS NIL DRIVING THIS BUS?
I would have to think USC would be an option for Cam Ward. Similar offense and boat loads of NIL cash.

ALLOCATION
Half of these names can be eliminated from jump street. NIL is the #1 factor here. Bye Wisconsin, FSU, and UW. USC can afford him, but I’d guess Riley would rather spend the money defensively based on how last season went. https://t.co/RrT3boMcgv

BIGGER PICTURE
I’d take Cam Ward in Lincoln’s offense in a heartbeat, you probably lose one of Miller and Malachi but that’s the age of CFB we are in https://t.co/biM7UZ33jU
