Jordyn Brooks “Looked Pretty Good Running Around” & Other Seahawks Injury Updates

The Seahawks have a couple of injury concerns on their offensive line, having lost two starters to injury in Sunday’s game, center Evan Brown (concussion) and right tackle Abraham Lucas (knee).

With concussions, it always comes down to how a player gets through the concussion protocol throughout the week, but Carroll said there are good early signs on Brown.

“He got through the walkthrough,” Carroll said. “He got released to do that, so that’s a really good sign that he can progress through the week. He won’t get practice reps today, but I think this allows him to get them tomorrow, so if everything continues to progress, we’re in pretty good shape.”

If Brown doesn’t get cleared, it would mean a start for rookie Olu Oluwatimi, who Carroll said, “held up his end” filling in for Brown.

“We’ve got a really good 1-2 punch right there,” Carroll said. “He did a nice job in the game.”

As for Lucas, Carroll said it will be a challenge for Lucas to get back for this weekend’s game. Lucas initially injured his knee in Seattle’s season opener and went on injured reserve, then returned to play in the last five games.
