Brisker was the Bears’ best rookie in 2022, and he built on an impressive start with a solid sophomore campaign. Brisker had his share of highs and lows this season, but he really hit his stride in the second half of the season. His high-level, physical play served as a tone-setter for a secondary that made huge strides during the defense’s late-season turnaround. Outside of his performance, Brisker emerged as a leader in Chicago’s young secondary. For the second straight year, Brisker dealt with a concussion that kept him sidelined for two games in the middle of the season.
Brisker’s best game came in Week 14 against the Lions, where he totaled an insane 17 tackles. It was the most for any Bears defensive back since the AFL-NFL merger, as well as the most by any defensive back in the NFL during the 2023 season. He was all over the field, coming up with some big stops and two pass breakups in the upset win. “What Brisker brings is the reason we drafted him,” head coach Matt Eberflus said of his outing. While Brisker didn’t have his most complete season, there’s no doubt he’s one of the bright spots on this young roster.
