Hokies to play two non-Saturday games this upcoming season

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Announced on ACC Network’s ACC PM on Tuesday, Virginia Tech football will play two games that don’t fall on Saturday, with one contest on the road and one at home.

To begin its ACC slate, the Hokies will head to Miami (Fla.) on Friday, Sept. 27, marking just the third time Tech has faced the Hurricanes in the month of September in the Sunshine State (1993, 1998).

The iconic Thursday night game in Lane Stadium is back once again, as the Hokies will play host to Boston College on Thursday, Oct. 17.

Tech has much success in Lane on Thursday nights, boasting a 24-12 (.667) record. Last season, the Hokies hosted Syracuse and won convincingly, 38-10.

Want to secure your way of being there? Lock in your season tickets now. Last season, five of six home games were sold out. So be sure to get your season tickets now to ensure you’ll always have a season.

The rest of Tech’s 2024 schedule will be released on Wednesday at 5 p.m. ET on ACC Network. Join the interest list to get all of the details right away.
