Buffalo Bills’ top pending free agent is Gabe Davis

Gabe Davis stock is still very high at NFL.com.

The league’s website ranked the top 101 pending free agents set to hit the open market in March. In a surprise, the receiver is the highest-rated player on the list at No. 33 overall.

The Bills don’t have many prominent players slated to be free agents. However, by comparison, Pro Football Focus named Davis the NFL’s 63rd best upcoming free agent with Buffalo pass rusher Leonard Floyd ahead of him at No. 49.

Davis ended up recording 45 catches, 746 yards and seven touchdowns in 2023. Realistically, because of Buffalo being near $40 million over next year’s salary cap, Davis is likely to test the free agent market.

But there have been players in the past that have done so and ended up returning to the Bills–It just depends on how much other teams believe in Davis. PFF estimates that Davis could earn a one-year, $12M deal this spring as a free agent. That might end up pricing Buffalo out.
