The Justin Fields-or-Caleb Williams debate won’t last until the day of the NFL draft in late April. This drama will probably be resolved, one way or the other, in the next two weeks.
Steelers Wire has more on this development:
“NFL free agency starts on March 13 but the legal tampering period kicks off on March 11. This means over the course of the next two weeks we will see a lot of teams releasing and trading players to free up salary cap before the shopping blitz begins.
“The name most Pittsburgh Steelers fans are most interested in when it comes to trade is Chicago Bears quarterback Justin Fields. Bears general manager Ryan Poles spoke to the media on Tuesday and said that if the team plans to draft a quarterback at No. 1 overall in the 2024 NFL draft, they want to do their best to trade Fields before free agency begins.”
So, if you have gotten tired of Caleb Williams-Justin Fields-Bears stories, be patient. You probably won’t have to wait much longer.
