One of the downsides to free agency is the loss of those players who are fan favorites among the fanbase. One of those for the Minnesota Vikings was linebacker Jordan Hicks, who will join fellow former Viking Za’Darius Smith as a Cleveland Brown in 2024.
Hicks took to Twitter to give a heartfelt goodbye to the Minnesota fans that welcomed him in as a 30-year-old middle linebacker back in 2022.
The last two years in Minnesota have been an absolute blessing for not only myself, but for our entire family. I’m grateful for my teammates, coaches, staff, and all the friends we met along the way.
Thank you for everything, Minnesota 💜

In the last two years, Hicks played the full 2022 season and was only sidelined in 2023 due to developing compartment syndrome in his leg following the New Orleans Saints game.
In his time in Minnesota, Hicks leads all Vikings in total tackles (236), solo tackles (147) and pass deflections (15, tied with Patrick Peterson and Camryn Bynum).
