The Ravens and several other teams quietly made significant moves late Wednesday night.
Odell Beckham Jr. was officially made a post-June 1 release before midnight, making him an unrestricted free agent.
The move was expected after Beckham Jr. reworked his contract in January.
The revision will allow Baltimore to use a post-6/1 release. This way, they can spread the dead money out over 2024 and 2025, as opposed to it all hitting in 2024.
The following players were officially released overnight with Post-June 1 designations.
Cardinals LT D.J. Humphries
Ravens WR Odell Beckham, Jr.
Bills CB Tre’Davious White
Broncos QB Russell Wilson
Raiders QB Jimmy Garoppolo
Dolphins CB Xavien Howard
Saints WR Michael Thomas…— Field Yates (@FieldYates) March 14, 2024
Beckham had 64 targets during his lone season in Baltimore, logging 35 catches for 565 yards and three touchdowns.
Beckham Jr. could flourish playing opposite Garrett Wilson while catching passes from Aaron Rodgers and the New York Jets.
