With two sudden losses to the Birmingham Stallions defense, it’s not a surprise to see a couple of new additions here in UFL training camp. DE Jonathan Garvin and OLB Maalik Hall have signed with the team, seemingly to replace Carlo Kemp and Chris Orr.
Stallions add two defensive players.
Jonathan Garvin played at Miami and was drafted by GB in 2020. Spent three seasons there and racked up 32 tackles, 1.5 sacks, and 2 PBUs. Released by GB last summer.

DE Jonathan Garvin
Jonathan Garvin brings depth, and NFL experience, to this Stallions defensive line. Garvin has played at the linebacker position as well, but is signing with Birmingham as a defensive end. This makes sense, given the release of DE Carlo Kemp.
Garvin played his college football at Miami, where he posted some excellent numbers. Across three seasons, Jonathan totaled 106 tackles and 12.5 sacks.

This led to the Green Bay Packers selecting Garvin in the seventh round of the 2020 NFL draft. Jonathan spent three years with the team, and saw action in over a couple dozen games, racking up 32 tackles and 1.5 sacks. Now, he’ll look to continue his pro career in the UFL with Birmingham.
OLB Maalik Hall
Replacing Chris Orr in the lineup is Maalik Hall, who joins the team after a short stint with the New York Jets.
Hall played the entirety of his college ball at the Division II level, with Southeast Oklahoma State. Hall was limited in minutes through the first three seasons, totaling 23 tackles across that span.
