Tracking Tide stars in 2024 Free Agency

With Alabama being a powerhouse at the collegiate level, it should not come as a surprise that it has more former players in the NFL than any other program in the nation. Regularly sending players to the league via the draft, many of those former members of the Crimson Tide pan out to have long, successful careers.

With the 2024 NFL league year beginning, players were free to sign wherever they pleased, assuming they weren’t already under contract.

Mac Jones traded to Jaguars

Though it’s not a free agency signing, the chaos of former Alabama players moving around began when the New England Patriots traded former Alabama quarterback Mac Jones to the Jacksonville Jaguars for a late-round draft pick. Jones returns home to Jacksonville, where his role is expected to be as QB2 behind Trevor Lawrence.

Mack Wilson signs with Browns

Former Alabama linebacker has spent time with the Cleveland Browns and New England Patriots. Now, he joins the Arizona Cardinalso on a three-year, $12.75 million deal.
