Texas head coach Steve Sarkisian is intense. The intensity is optimal and necessary for the Longhorns to continue to win at their current level.
Sarkisian has impressed the importance of that intensity for his players. The team’s seeming motto of the offseason is obsession with performing at a championship level. It’s likely a mindset Sarkisian picked up from his mentor, former Alabama head coach Nick Saban.
Obsession isn’t optimal in every facet of life, but obsession with perfecting one’s craft works in the football program’s favor. The Longhorns’ spring is set to revolve around reaching the team’s potential and doing what is necessary not to lose to high scoring teams like Oklahoma and Washington. It looks to improve on both sides of the football to achieve that goal.
