There is some open competition at the cornerback position and Levy projects to be one of those players in the mix for playing time as a true freshman.
Levy is the quintessential Florida athlete, with speed and agility. He made an impact in high school for Cardinal Newman (West Palm Beach) as both a wide receiver and a defensive back.
His offer list was impressive when Rutgers secured his commitment during the summer. Levy was offered by Boston College, Florida, Florida State, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Louisville, Miami, Minnesota, Penn State and Texas A&M as well as several others.
With his fluidity of motion and good length, it is the defensive side of the ball where can make an immediate impact.
Levy has the potential to factor in for Rutgers this year as a true freshman on special teams but also as part of the backend’s rotation. This is a big spring for him.
