Highlights from Texas A&M’s sixth spring practice on Tuesday

Texas A&M football’s spring football season is now six practices deep, as Tuesday’s session featured more progress at every position group. At the same time, quarterback Conner Weigman has continued to look healthier throughout the week. Those who have played the game at any level know that practice, spring, or fall could make or break a team, especially with a new coaching staff.

Head coach Mike Elko’s transition has been smooth on the surface, but as we all know, the new age of college football concerning the unregulated transfer portal and NIL has made the head coaching job feel like being a corporate CEO during the offseason, something Elko has already discussed during various press conferences last month.

Weigman’s progress will always take center stage due to the importance of the position. Still, Tuesday also featured several newcomers from the transfer portal combined with perhaps the most important returning player in the secondary, junior hybrid safety Bryce Anderson.
