The Commanders are taking a quarterback in the first round. There are two scenarios in which they could land Fuaga: A trade down, netting extra picks, and remaining high enough to land another passer. Or, trade back into the first round if Fuaga falls outside of the top 12 picks. If Washington drafts Fuaga, the Commanders will have found a potential Pro Bowl right tackle for the next decade. A monster in the run game, Fuaga is also excellent in pass protection. While he’s not a finished product, he’s NFL-ready on day one. He wouldn’t answer Washington’s need for a left tackle, though, unless GM Adam Peters believes he could handle the left side.
