Auburn football’s annual spring game is behind us. Now, we must wait four additional months for Auburn to officially kick off the 2024 season by hosting Alabama A&M at Jordan-Hare Stadium on August 31.
Auburn head coach Hugh Freeze still feels that there is plenty to clean up before the season officially begins, but he says that he is thankful for the A-Day crowd and is pleased with how well his coaches prepared the players during the spring practice period.
“I’m pleased with the crowd and just love our fans,” Freeze said postgame. “I know we’ve got a long way to go and a lot to clean up. We certainly can’t come into this stadium flat like I kind of felt like we did at first, but I’m pleased with the spring. I give our coaches a lot of credit; I thought they really prepared hard for every single practice and we got the most out of every minute we were allowed to be with our kids in the spring.”
