Relax, this isn’t an all-offensive draft for the Patriots, although it very well could be. Colorado State’s Mohamed Kamara doesn’t have the size to justify going earlier in the draft, but some team will benefit greatly from the fact that he plays much bigger than his body.
Kamara is deceptively quick and powerful when bending the edge, and he could end up being a steal for whatever team drafts him. The Patriots could have very easily taken a cornerback in this spot as well. They could certainly use more depth in the defensive backfield. But at the same time, you can never have too many pass-rushers.
Kamara would have a chance to make an impact right away in the right situations. At the very least, he would serve as a potential in-house option to replace Josh Uche, if the veteran leaves for another team next year.
