The 2024 NFL draft is one of the most talented classes in recent memory, especially on the offensive side of the ball. Itโs rare to see more than a handful of defensive players taken in the top 15 of mock drafts this year thanks to all of that offensive talent. Defense is still important, however, and the defenders in this class are far from lackluster. Penn State has a potential first-round defender in edge rusher Chop Robinson, but his partner in pass rush could be an early pick in his own right.
Adisa Isaac has developed into a rock-solid NFL prospect during his five years at Penn State, even out-producing Robinson in some aspects during their two seasons together. He is the kind of player that every defense needs to be successful. He doesnโt have any dominant traits, but there isnโt any aspect of playing edge rusher that he is truly bad at.
There is no doubt in my mind that teams will love what Isaac brings to the table, but will his lack of elite skills hamper his draft position? Letโs take a deeper look at what teams would be getting if they drafted Isaac.

He returned for a final season in 2023, once again starting all 13 games and putting up a career-high 7.5 sacks.
Where Isaac really made his presence felt though was in run defense, setting a hard edge and becoming…
