While head coach Deion Sanders has once again been active in picking up talent from the college football transfer portal, quite a few notable players from last year’s Colorado team are returning for another season in Boulder.
Along with big names such as Shedeur Sanders, Travis Hunter and Shilo Sanders, talented young running back Dylan Edwards, wide receiver Jimmy Horn Jr. and linebacker Trevor Woods are among those coming back.
247Sports recently examined how many starters (offense, defense and special teams combined) are returning for each power conference team and Colorado ranked tied for 29th nationally. Virginia Tech secured the top spot with 22 total starters returning.
Here’s how many starters are returning for each Big 12 team, according to 247Sports:
Texas Tech Red Raiders

Total Returning Starters: 10
Despite returning only about half of last season’s starters, the Red Raiders should remain competitive in 2024 with running back Tahj Brooks, defensive back Bralyn Lux, quarterback Behren Morton and linebacker Ben Roberts.
Houston Cougars

Overall, the Cougars struggled in their Big 12 first season, but Houston’s roster should look much different this fall.
TCU Horned Frogs
