Contract details for Buffalo Bills WR Mack Hollins

The information on the contract the Buffalo Bills and wide receiver Mack Hollins agreed to have been revealed and it’s a cost-efficient one for the team.

Hollins inked a one-year deal in Buffalo. Hollins will see an opportunity to contribute on special teams and in the wideout room with the Bills, especially following the departures of Stefon Diggs and Gabe Davis.

A 6-foot-4 target, Hollins was a fourth-round draft pick of the Philadelphia Eagles in 2017. The recent 2023 season saw Hollins’ worst year in the pros. In 13 games with the Atlanta Falcons, Hollins had just 18 catches for 251 yards and no touchdowns.

Ironically, before his awful numbers a year ago, the 2022 season was Hollins’ most productive. He had 57 catches for 690 yards and four touchdowns.

The contract he has in Buffalo reflects that uncertainty. At the top, it’s a one-year “prove-it deal.”

In total, it’s worth $2.6 million. According to Spotrac, that includes a base salary of $1.54M and a $500,000, signing bonus which is linked to his $1.1M in guaranteed dollars.

With it being a short-term deal, his cap hit will be close to his contract’s worth $2.48M. The deal does only carry a $1.1M dead-cap hit so there is $1.38M in cap savings if he doesn’t make the final roster out of training camp.
