Who are ideal picks in first 2 rounds of NFL draft?

Joe Alt named a perfect fit for Tennessee Titans in 2024 NFL draft

NFL draft analyst Chad Reuter is weighing-in on who he thinks are the most ideal picks for the Tennessee Titans in the first two rounds of the 2024 NFL draft.

According to Reuter’s article on NFL.com, he believes Tennessee’s ideal pick in the first round is left tackle Joe Alt out of Notre Dame, and in the second it’s Western Michigan edge rusher Marshawn Kneeland.

Here’s what Reuter said about those two prospects:

Tennessee has not yet found a replacement for Taylor Lewan since releasing him after the 2022 season. It’s tough to picture a more perfect fit than the tall, strong Alt. Kneeland has a shot to be a first-round selection because of his excellent film, length (34 1/2-inch arms) and combine workout (7.02-second three-cone drill at 267 pounds). The Titans should snap him up if he’s around early in the second after losing Denico Autry, the team’s sack leader (11.5) from last season, in free agency.

We already know the deal when it comes to Alt and the Titans: Tennessee has had the worst left tackle situation in the NFL the past two years and needs to beef things up for Will Levis. Drafting Alt makes all the sense in the world.

The Titans could definitely use an edge rusher, with the team having no depth behind Harold Landry and Arden Key. The departure of Denico Autry in free agency also makes it a big need.

While the Titans must come away with a left tackle of the future in the first two rounds — and, ideally in the first round, seeing as it’s their biggest need currently — what they do after that is up in the air due to the number of holes they have to fill on both sides of the ball.
