On Friday night the Seahawks signed former 49ers guard Laken Tomlinson to a one-year deal worth up to $4 million, per Jeremy Fowler at ESPN. Tomlinson was a first-round pick by the Lions back in 2015 and has appeared in 146 career games at this level. He fills the team’s greatest roster need at left guard, where he should be projected to start – at least for now.
Here’s our best guess at what the depth chart for the entire offensive line looks like heading into the draft.
- Left tackle: Charles Cross, Stone Forsythe, Raiqwon O’Neal
- Left guard: Laken Tomlinson, McClendon Curtis
- Center: Olu Oluwatimi, Nick Harris
- Right guard: Anthony Bradford, Tremayne Anchrum Jr.
- Right tackle: Abe Lucas, George Fant, Max Pircher
Obviously this unit is still a work in progress. The odds have Seattle picking an offensive lineman with their first choice in Round 1 and they likely wouldn’t be done yet. The Seahawks still need more options at guard, more experience at center and somebody who could replace either Abe Lucas or Charles Cross at tackle some day.
