Georgia Bulldogs redshirt freshman wide receiver Tyler Williams is entering the NCAA transfer portal. Williams is a former four-star recruit from Lakeland High School in Lakeland, Florida.
He played in three games as a true freshman at Georgia during the 2023 season. The former Lakeland standout recorded one catch for four yards last season.
The 6-foot-3, 205-pound wide receiver announced his intentions to enter the transfer portal via Instagram. Georgia has a very deep wide receivers room and Williams was not expected to have a large role for the Bulldogs in 2024.
Tyler Williams did not receive any targets in Georgia’s spring game. The speedy wide receiver should garner a significant amount of interest in the transfer portal. Georgia is now closer to being at the NCAA’s scholarship limit.
Williams joins fellow Georgia football receiver Braxton Hicks and running back Andrew Paul in entering the transfer portal in recent days.
