Georgia fans surprised after Andrew Paul enters the transfer portal

Georgia Bulldogs running back Andrew Paul flashed considerable potential in Georgia’s annual spring game. Paul had a physical run that one of the highlights of the contest.

Paul finished G-Day with four rushes for 44 yards and one touchdown. His impressive performance caught the eyes of numerous college football programs across the nation. Paul could start elsewhere, but he is projected to be Georgia’s third- or fourth-string running back, so you can’t blame him for testing the waters of the transfer portal.

The former three-star recruit finally looked back to 100% after tearing his ACL before the 2022 college football season. Kansas State, Purdue, Oregon, Houston, and Baylor are among the initial teams to reach out to the talented Georgia running back.

Paul’s likely departure leaves Georgia thin in terms of how many experienced running backs the Bulldogs have. Georgia’s Branson Robinson is still recovering from a leg injury, but is hoping to be healthy in time for fall camp. Florida transfer Trevor Etienne will take on a larger role, especially in the passing game, in Paul’s absence.

Here’s how Georgia football fans reacted after running back Andrew Paul announced his plans to enter the transfer portal.
