A running back might not be on the top of the list of needs for the Buffalo Bills but a potential complement to starter James Cook in the form of Audric Estime could be of interest.
According to Syracuse.com, the Notre Dame running back took a top-30 visit in Buffalo ahead of the 2024 NFL draft:
By having a top-30 visit with Estime, Buffalo does appear to have some legitimate interest in him. The Bills are allowed to have up to 30 draft prospects in for pre-draft workouts, meetings, and more, and they decided to allocate one of those to Estime.
Because of his size at 5-foot-11 and 221 pounds, Estime would be a bigger back that could complement well alongside Cook. In 2023 the Bills had rostered the likes of Latavius Murray, Damien Harris and Leonard Fournette to potentially fill that void, but none ever really worked out and all three are no longer on the team.
As one would expect with that frame, Estime doesn’t have home-run speed, but as a short-yardage back, Estime could find a good home in Buffalo. Last season, Estime put up an impressive 1,341 rushing yards, an average of 6.4 yards per carry, with 18 touchdowns in 12 games played.
Estime is consider a potential Day 3 selection at the upcoming draft where Buffalo currently holds eight of their 10 picks at the draft. Pro Football Focus has Estime ranked at No. 123 on their pre-draft big board.
