The 2024 NFL draft is just around the corner, and the Chicago Bears could look to add another pass rusher to pair with superstar Montez Sweat.
Heading into the draft, the quarterback will be a priority for the Bears, but after that selection, Chicago will have a chance to upgrade their pass rush with one of the many talented players in the draft.
We’re examining an edge rusher Chicago can target in each round. These players share a combination of athleticism, length, and the potential to develop into disruptive pass rushers. They all have high ceilings and can become valuable contributors to the Bears’ 4-3 defensive scheme.

Verse’s explosiveness and versatility make him a top prospect. His quick first step and ability to play inside and outside make him an ideal fit for Chicago’s scheme. He’s also consistently able to bend the edge and put pressure on the quarterback, making him an elite prospect.

Braswell’s strength and technique make him a solid run defender. He sets the edge well and can shed blocks to make tackles in the backfield. He needs to improve to become a more reliable pass rusher, but he’s a great fit for a team looking for a strong-side defensive end to set the edge and stop the run.

Trice’s length and quickness make him an exciting pass-rush prospect. He can develop into a force in the NFL if he can put on weight, refine his technique, and develop more pass-rush moves. His athleticism and upside make him an attractive option in this round. While he is still raw, he has the potential to develop into an effective situational pass rusher in his rookie year.
