Biggest risers in Daniel Jeremiah’s top 150 prospect rankings
The 2024 NFL Draft officially begins tomorrow night.
While many analysts across the NFL landscape are updating their first-round predictions this week, NFL Network’s Daniel Jeremiah did something a little different.
Jeremiah, who has released several versions of his top 50 draft prospect rankings over the last few months, expanded his list to the top 150 prospects in this year’s class.
Here are the biggest risers among the top 50 prospects on Jeremiah’s expanded list, along with commentary from the draft analyst.
Jer’Zhan Newton, DT, Illinois – Moved up to No. 25 (+7)
“Newton is a slightly undersized defensive tackle with quick and powerful hands… Overall, Newton lacks ideal lower-body flexibility, but he’s a very skilled rusher and holds up versus the run.”
Kool-Aid McKinstry, CB, Alabama – Moved up to No. 28 (+8)
“McKinstry is a smooth, athletic cornerback with average play speed… Overall, Kool-Aid has a lot of redeeming qualities. He’s not the fastest cornerback, but he showed enough speed at his pro day to help his stock heading into the draft.”
Ladd McConkey, WR, Georgia – Moved up to No. 30 (+4)
“McConkey is a slightly undersized receiver with excellent speed, quickness and polish. He lines up both outside and in the slot… Overall, McConkey isn’t quite as physical as former Seahawks receiver Doug Baldwin, but I see a lot of similarities in their route running and instincts. I could see McConkey having a similar career.”
Xavier Worthy, WR, Texas – Moved up to No. 31 (+4)
“Worthy has average height and a very lean frame. The 40-yard dash king is extremely twitchy and can take the top off the defense… Overall, Worthy seems like a taller version of Hollywood Brown — you can feel his speed in every game.”
Max Melton, CB, Rutgers – Moved up to No. 46 (+4)
“Melton offers an exciting mix of size, speed and toughness. He can align outside or in the slot… Overall, Melton has the ideal tools to step in and start right away outside or at the nickel position.”
Jordan Morgan, OT, Arizona – Moved up to No. 47 (Previously Unranked)
“Morgan is a very athletic left tackle with average size… Overall, he has starting tackle ability.”
Kris Jenkins, DT, Michigan – Moved up to No. 48 (Previously Unranked)
“Jenkins is a muscled-up, powerful DT… Overall, Jenkins will be an immediate…
