Every LSU football player picked in the 2024 NFL draft

Several former LSU players had their dreams of playing professional football realized this weekend at the 2024 NFL draft in Detroit.

In total, six former Tigers heard their names called and will be joining the NFL ranks. While it wasn’t the biggest draft class we’ve seen from LSU in recent years, it featured three first-round picks in Jayden Daniels, Malik Nabers and Brian Thomas Jr.

That marked the most for the Tigers since 2020, a class that featured five first-rounders including Joe Burrow and Justin Jefferson.

Here’s a rundown of every player picked and where they will be starting their pro careers.

QB Jayden Daniels – Washington Commanders

Round 1, Pick 2

Daniels is heading to Washington as we all expected, joining Kliff Kingsbury and a supporting cast that already features Terry McLaurin and added a few more weapons later in the draft. He was the second quarterback off the board after Caleb Williams.

Malik Nabers – New York Giants

Round 1, Pick 6

While many thought the Giants could opt for a quarterback with their top-10 pick, they instead took Nabers and provided a top-notch weapon for quarterback Daniel Jones. With Nabers’ selection, LSU became the first school to have a quarterback and receiver picked in the top 10 of the same draft.

Brian Thomas Jr. – Jacksonville Jaguars

Round 1, Pick 23

Despite trading back six spots, the Jaguars got their guy and landed a potential No. 1 receiving target for franchise quarterback Trevor Lawrence. Thomas split targets with Nabers in college but still led the FBS in receiving touchdowns this season with 17. He was the first LSU player the Jags took, but he wouldn’t be the last.
