Philadelphia and Green Bay will face off in Brazil on a Friday night.
Still, over the next week, we’ll likely find out if Baltimore is the one defending Super Bowl champion Kansas City will open up with, as well as the Sunday night matchup on NBC and Monday night doubleheader on ESPN/ABC.
The league uses multiple factors to determine the year’s game schedule.
There’s a cycle of inter-conference faceoffs; each NFC division rotates through each AFC division every four seasons and the other NFC divisions every three seasons.
In addition, where a team finishes within their division dictates a same-finish matchup with one team from the opposite conference and whichever divisions aren’t in the rotation for that season.
Thanks to the AFC North’s success over the past two seasons, Baltimore has one of the league’s hardest schedules based on win-loss percentages from last year.
