Auburn’s incoming 2024 class receives jersey numbers

Following the closure of the spring transfer portal window, Auburn football’s 2024 roster is all but set.

The Tigers made a splash in the transfer portal this season. During the winter window, Auburn filled several needs by landing two wide receivers and a safety while the defensive line was the main focus of the spring window.

Auburn ends the spring session with the No. 28 transfer portal class for the 2024 cycle according to 247Sports after landing key names such as Jerrin Thompson, Philip Blidi, and KeAndre Lambert-Smith. The hype surrounding the class is real, but which players are deemed the “top transfers” of the class?

Here is a ranking of Auburn football’s 2024 transfer portal haul based on their respective 2023 Pro Football Focus grade.

Rico Walker

  • 2023 PFF Grade: 46.4

Walker participated in eight games last season for the Maryland Terrapins, totaling 138 snaps. He only recorded four catches for 27 yards last season but was a solid pass blocker by earning a 77.3 grade by PFF.

  • Previous school: Akron
  • 2023 PFF Grade: 58.0

Chambers enjoyed his busiest collegiate season in 2023 by participating in 724 snaps on Akron’s offensive line. He played a majority of snaps at left tackle (578) but also action at right tackle (128) and right guard (18).
