Highlights from Bucs rookie minicamp: Day 2

Buccaneers rookie minicamp continued on Saturday with rookies and a few veterans continuing to practice and work their way to a roster spot. While no one is making the final 53-man roster based on their performance this weekend, some players will push themselves up the Bucs’ depth chart while some tryout players could get an invite to training camp in a couple months.

These are some of the highlights from the second day of the Bucs’ rookie minicamp:

Bucs first-round pick Graham Barton had a choice to make this weekend: attend rookie mini-camp or his Duke graduation ceremony. It appears he found the choice easy to make (via ESPN’s Jenna Laine):

Bucs 2023 seventh-round pick Jose Ramirez spent last season on Tampa Bay’s practice squad. He appears to be making every effort to avoid the same in 2024 as he is among the handful of veterans who came in for rookie minicamp (via Pewter Report’s Bailey Adams):

One of the key differences between college football and the NFL is size. Players are just bigger. For rookies Kalen DeLoach and Devin Culp, that difference has become a reality as both have put on weight this offseason, according to Pewter Report:

Undrafted rookie LB Kalen DeLoach will have his pick of role models among the Bucs’ linebacker corps. He is used to watching one from his days at Florida State and joined the Bucs to learn under another (via JoeBucsFan and Buccaneers.com’s Scott Smith):
