The NFL began their roll out of the 2024 NFL season schedule on Monday, announcing that two-time MVP Lamar Jackson and the Baltimore Ravens will visit back-to-back defending champion Patrick Mahomes and Kansas City in the Chiefs’ home opener. The NFL has a tradition of putting the defending champs in the spotlight game to start off each regular season, and 2024 will be no different.
The league also has a history of pitting the Dallas Cowboys against the New York Giants in Week 1. That quieted down for a little when they were able to square Dallas off against Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers two years in a row, but Brady retired and the Giants were back in that slot for the seventh time in 12 seasons in 2023. That didn’t end well for the competitive nature of things, with Dallas blowing out Daniel Jones and the G-Men, 40-0.
Will the NFL look to exploit that matchup again? Below are our completely irrelevant-yet-fun predictions for what the Cowboys’ 2024 schedule will look like. Any accurate predictions should result in complete and utter bewilderment.
