ESPN Announces Game Time for Florida-Miami


Miami will visit the Swamp for the first time since 2008.

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The Gators’ 2024 season opener against in-state rival Miami in The Swamp on Aug. 31 is set for a 3:30 p.m. kickoff on ABC, ESPN announced Tuesday.

The game will mark the 57th meeting between the Gators and the Hurricanes, and the first since 2019 when Florida downed Miami in Orlando on a 24-20 decision. This will also be the first meeting in Gainesville since 2008 with the Gators defeating Miami 26-3 in front of 91,000.

 

Miami leads the all-time series 29-27 with the first meeting taking place in 1938. The Gators have a 9-12 record against the Hurricanes in Gainesville, 4-3 in neutral sites and the series is tied 14 -14 in Miami.

 

2024 Football Season Tickets


After five sold-out games in 2023, fans can now secure 2024 season tickets for the seven home games in The Swamp with matchups including Miami (Aug. 31), Samford (Sept. 7), Texas A&M (Sept. 14), UCF (Oct. 5), Kentucky (Oct. 19), LSU (Nov. 16) and Ole Miss (Nov. 23). Season ticket packages are available starting at less than $70 per game along with a Gator Boosters contribution.
