The San Antonio Brahmas clinched the playoffs – and now may have gotten another boost offensively. Chase Garbers has been reactivated off of the injured reserve list, meaning he would be eligible to return sooner than later for San Antonio.

This is pretty big news for the Brahmas. Garbers came into the UFL as a rookie in that QB room, but earned the starting gig. He was playing quite well, and helped lead the Brahmas to a 2-1 record before suffering a wrist injury in week three against St. Louis.
Originally, it seemed that Chase’s injury would sideline him for the rest of the year. However, we received word that he could potentially return in 2024.
Now, it appears that it’s pretty likely that he will. In just three games, Chase threw for 588 yards and six touchdowns, to just one interception. He was the leader of that offense, and since his injury, things haven’t been as smooth for A.J. Smith & Co.
THE #UFL COMEBACK IS COMPLETE. WOW.
What an unbelievable two series from Chase Garbers to bring this team back into it. Cannot believe what we just watched. pic.twitter.com/fKlLXMfNCG

If Garbers can come back by week ten – or even the playoffs – Wade Phillips will have quite the decision on his hands. Quinten Dormady has filled in during his absence, and has seen a rather inconsistent tenure in the UFL this year.
Over the past five games, Dormady has thrown for 974 yards and five touchdowns, but he’s tossed six interceptions. According to PFF, he’s committed seven turnover worthy plays across that span. One would expect that Dormady is the starter this week – but anything can change moving forward.
