The Eagles are back on the field this week, and Monday will offer the first of about seven glimpses of this revamped unit running actual plays and formations during OTAs.
Philadelphia will practice at the Nova Care Complex on May 20, May 22-23, May 28, and May 30-31 in scenarios where the team can run 7-7, 11-11, and 7-9 drills without contact.
The Eagles have a nearly full roster after signing seven undrafted free agents, including Laekin Vakalahi, who’ll be exempt from a roster spot as the team’s representative in the International Pathway Program.
After the team placed offensive tackle Le’Raven Clark on injured reserve, it released tight end Noah Togiai and signed cornerback Shon Stephens. Philadelphia now has roster space for two players ahead of the looming OTA sessions, mandatory minicamp, and July’s training camp.
With things about to ramp up, here’s an updated 88-player roster for the Eagles.
The pass rusher had ten sacks in 2023, and I’ll look to take over for Haason Reddick.
Hurts will look to regain his All-Pro form under new offensive coordinator Kellen Moore.
Slay will mentor rookie CB Quinyon Mitchell while he looks to keep his place among the NFL’s top cornerbacks.
Smith will play a role at the SAM LB spot and see an increase in snaps after Haason Reddick’s departure.
