We’ve had about a week to digest and dissect the full 2024 NFL schedule after it was released on May 15, letting everyone know when each game will be played. The Los Angeles Rams have a tough slate in 2024, which features matchups with the likes of the San Francisco 49ers, Philadelphia Eagles and Detroit Lions.
The Rams have almost four months to prepare for the start of the regular season but with the schedule out now, it’s fun to think about what the storylines for each game could be.

Storyline: Wild-card rematch
The storylines in this game aren’t hard to find. Not only is it a matchup between Matthew Stafford and Jared Goff, but it’s a rematch of their wild-card game from January, which ended the Rams’ season.

Storyline: Continued dominance over Cards?
The Rams have won all but two games against the Cardinals since Sean McVay became the head coach in 2017, absolutely owning Arizona over the last eight seasons. Will that continue with a win in Week 2?

Storyline: Will 49ers still have Rams’ number in regular season?
As good as the Rams have been against the Cardinals in recent years, the 49ers have been equally dominant against Los Angeles. The Rams finally snapped a nine-game regular-season losing streak to the 49ers in Week 18 last season, but that was with both teams resting some starters.

Storyline: Rams’ first look at No. 1 pick, Caleb Williams
Williams played his college ball at nearby USC, but Week 4 will be the Rams’ first chance to play against the No. 1 overall pick in the 2024 draft. It’s probably beneficial that they’ll face the Bears early in the season before they start firing on all cylinders.

Storyline: Finally a home game vs. Packers
The Rams and Packers have squared off four times since the start of the 2021 season, yet all of those games were in Green Bay – and all of them were losses by Los Angeles. In 2024, the Rams finally get the Packers at home where they last beat them in 2018.
