Falcons TE Kyle Pitts catches pass from QB Kirk Cousins

For the last two seasons, NFL fans have been roasting Atlanta’s quarterbacks for their inability to get tight end Kyle Pitts the football. Neither Marcus Mariota nor Desmond Ridder could replicate the success Pitts had with Matt Ryan as his quarterback during his rookie year.

During that 2021 season, Pitts finished with the most receiving yards by a rookie tight end since Mike Ditka. However, the former No. 4 overall pick’s production severely dropped from 2022-2023 due to poor play at the QB position and a serious knee injury he suffered late in the 2022 season.

Now that Kirk Cousins is in town, Pitts may finally get his career back on track. Despite their lack of experience playing together, they appear to be on the same page at this week’s organized team activities.
