Rogers, the third of seven sons, hails from Detroit and began his football journey in sixth grade through the Detroit Police Athletic League. By eighth grade, he already had a scholarship offer fromย Kentucky. A standout player atย Oak Park High, Rogers was Michiganโs highest-ranked recruit. Ultimately, he chose Kentucky over Alabama and Georgia, where he played for three seasons before transferring toย Auburnย for his senior year in 2023.
Rogers played sparingly on defense in 2020, but his playing time increased significantly in 2021. In 2022, he took over as a starter at Kentucky. He transferred to Auburn in 2023 and earned a starting job by Week 8. Auburn ran a 4-2-5 base defense, while Kentucky ran a 3-3-5/3-4 base defense.
