The Green Bay Packers announced the addition of 12 new coaches who have joined the staff this spring as part of the NFL’s Bill Walsh Diversity Coaching Fellowship. Head Coach Matt LaFleur made the announcement on Thursday.
The defense was joined by Tre’ Bell (West Virginia), Siriki Diabate (suh-ree-kee dee-uh-BAH-tay, Connecticut), Michael Hunter (Ohio State), Ahmed Saleh (SAH-luh) and Mitchell White (Miami-Ohio).
Diabate and Hunter both participated in the program with the Packers last spring.
Special teams welcomed former NFL safety J.J. Wilcox.
The offensive staff was joined by Jalen Harris (UAB), Jeremiah Kolone (Arizona), Jared Livingston (Colgate), Joe Price (Texas-San Antonio) and Stacy Williams (The Woodlands High School).
The strength and conditioning staff is assisted by former NFL tight end Sean Manuel.
It is designed as a vocational tool to increase the number of full-time NFL minority coaches. The program’s objective is to use NFL clubs’ offseason workout programs and minicamps to give talented coaches opportunities to observe, participate, gain experience and ultimately gain a full-time NFL coaching position.
