Over the preseason, each profile will cover the player’s background, how recruiting websites rated them coming out of high school, and what role they will play for James Franklin this season.
Drew Shelton has had the opportunity to play meaningful snaps in both of his college seasons, but 2024 is his first real chance to become a full-time starter for the Nittany Lions. Career Stats

Drew Shelton wasn’t expected to have to play in his freshman season in 2022, but an injury to star left tackle Olu Fashanu forced him onto the field. He started the final five games of the 2022 season, struggling at times but understandably so. He once again played significant snaps in 2023 and looked much more prepared to handle defenders at the college level.
